I have outstanding written English skills. Writing is my jam, and I am currently working on a book in my spare time.
I am definitely well versed in keyword research, SEO, and basic marketing analytics because I have already done this for 3 different blogs, 2 websites, and my current employer’s webpage. I have years of experience creating and distributing various kinds of content – this includes content of all kinds. I am very independent, task-oriented, detail-oriented, and a lifelong learner—I believe that no one knows everything about anything, and there is always something more to learn.
Through my own personal education, trial, and error, I have learned and understand how basic digital marketing works as a whole, and how content fits into it. I think that if the content is the lock, then consistency is key to unlocking information and potential fans every time. I care deeply about getting the right information out to the right people – and I will always be loyal to a company for which I work – caring about what that company cares about goes hand-in-hand.
I can tell a story. You’ll see quite a bit of that throughout this site. I think stories help make facts relatable and should be used to edutain. As a blogger, I use stories to teach life lessons, and as a content creator, I use stories to inspire, motivate, and sell.
Branding is my jam! I can speak in both professional-educational tone and relatable-entertainment tone; I think both are important for specific types of media. The tone of your message is part of your branding, and should also reflect your culture.
Branding is one of my favorite parts of content management and social media. It’s something I take into account in every aspect of my work. How is what I’m doing, saying, writing, and showing representing the brand of the company? My personal brand?
I don’t mean to sound ‘braggy’, but I love my writing. So I may be biased! But I’ve been writing for a very long time – from short stories and poetry to newspaper articles and editorials, magazine articles, and company course workbooks as well as handbooks and policies. I never get tired of writing and can always be found with a notebook in my bag or on my person somewhere.
I am very well organized. I take pride in this one! Being able to assist my CEO with his calendar, as well as the calendar of the other Directors – helping them to remember where and when they need to be, organizing meetings and events, and making sure that all bases are covered for guests and clients is something I never find boring; nor do I ever consider it below me to do so. Our CEO once said I could organize a herd of cats with just a clipboard and coffee. He was… not wrong. They were a herd of cats.
Finally, I am very good with tech. I love software, apps and computer programs created to make life easier, and especially website maintenance. This is one strength I am proud to say was self-taught, and with which I have had much practice.
